Sonexay Siphandone was born in 1966. He is a politician from Laos, a country in Southeast Asia. Since December 30, 2022, he has been the prime minister of Laos. The prime minister is the head of the government in many countries.
Before becoming prime minister, Sonexay Siphandone was the deputy prime minister. He held this important role from 2016 to 2022. He is a member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, which is a major political group in Laos. His father, Khamtai Siphandone, was also a very important leader in Laos. Sonexay also has a sister named Viengthong Siphandone.

Becoming Prime Minister
