Kim So-ri (Hangul: 김소리, born July 21, 1990), known as Sori, is a talented South Korean singer and actress. She used to be part of the music duo CocoSori and the project girl group Real Girls Project. Sori is known for her powerful vocals and engaging performances.

Sori's Journey: Music and Acting

Early Life and First Steps in Entertainment

Kim So-ri was born on July 21, 1990, in Mapo District, Seoul, South Korea. When she was a teenager, she moved to Japan for her high school studies. There, she became a cheerleader, which made her dream of performing on stage.

After three years of college, Sori returned to South Korea. She wanted to become a singer. In 2013, she signed with Mol Entertainment, a South Korean entertainment company. She appeared in a music video called "B.I.K.I.N.I" on August 15, 2013. The next year, she started acting in the TV show Hi! School: Love On on KBS2, playing a high school student.

Joining Groups: CocoSori and Real Girls Project

After three years of training, Sori officially debuted as a singer. She became half of the duo CocoSori with their song "Dark Circle" on January 4, 2016. People often compared CocoSori to another girl group, Crayon Pop, because they had a similar fun style.

On May 6, 2016, Sori joined an audition for a new project girl group called Real Girls Project. She earned a spot in the group, and they released their first song, "Dream," on August 24, 2016. Sori also became a main actress in The Idolmaster KR, a TV show based on a popular video game. The show started on April 28, 2017, and had twenty-four episodes.

Sori also took part in a TV competition called Mix Nine. She was one of four people representing Mol Entertainment. During the show, she faced a challenge when a judge made a comment about her age and career. Despite this, she released a song called "To Myself" on November 5, 2017. Sori finished in seventh place among many female contestants. Her group almost debuted, but they were just beaten by the male group in the final round on January 26, 2018.

Becoming a Solo Artist

On July 31, 2018, Sori announced that she would start her solo music career. To help pay for her debut, she started a project on Makestar on August 1, 2018. Many fans supported her, raising over $20,000 by August 28, 2018.

Sori's first solo song, "Touch," came out on September 4, 2018. It featured the rapper Basick. The music video for "Touch" was also released that day. The song was written and produced by Gamen Rider. Sori performed "Touch" for the first time at a special event in Seoul. The song did well, reaching number 49 on the Gaon Album Chart. She promoted her song by performing on TV music shows, radio, and even on the streets. A Japanese version of "Touch" was released on November 14, 2018, as her first Japanese single.

"I'm Ready" was re-released in Japan on February 8, 2019. Sori also held her first fan meeting in Japan on February 11, 2019.
