Where Spathulenol Comes From
Scientists first found Spathulenol in 1975. They discovered it in oils taken from plants like waterwort (also known as Artemisia vulgaris) and tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus).
When they found it, Spathulenol was a clear, thick substance. It had a smell that reminded them of earth and spices. It also had a bitter and spicy taste.
