Spring Valley is a small city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. It is known as a "home rule-class city." This means it has the power to manage its own local affairs. The area started as a neighborhood called Spring Valley Estates in 1964. It became an official city in September 1983 to help provide services to its residents.

The city's current mayor is Gerri Willis. In 2010, about 654 people lived there. By 2020, the population grew to 675.

Spring Valley is in the northeastern part of Jefferson County. It shares borders with other towns. To the east, you'll find Barbourmeade. To the south, it borders Old Brownsboro Place. The rest of its borders are with the larger city of Louisville/Jefferson County.
