History of Springbrook
Springbrook has an interesting past. When it was first started in 1888, it had a different name: Namekegan.
The community's current name, Springbrook, came from a small stream nearby. This stream starts from a natural spring, which is where the "spring" in Springbrook comes from.
The post office in the community was also first called Namekegan when it opened in 1888. Later, in 1901, the name of the post office and the community officially changed to Springbrook.
