Begg Park
Begg Park is the largest park in Springfield. It is about 20.7 acres big. This park is famous for its 18-hole disc golf course. It even hosted the Disc Golf World Championship in 2008!
Besides disc golf, Begg Park also has a farmers' market. There's a playground for kids and a picnic area. You can also find open spaces, shady trees, and paved walking trails. A small brook flows through the middle of the park.
Upton Park
Upton Park is a 6.2-acre park. It has a 1-acre pond where people can fish. Some people also race model boats on the pond.
The park offers a pavilion for picnics and playground equipment. There's also a basketball court. A walking trail goes all around the pond. Upton Park is in an older, well-known neighborhood. It used to be called John F. Kennedy Park.
B. Carol Hinton Park
This park was created in 2012. It was built with a special grant. B. Carol Hinton Park has a basketball court. It also has a play area for children. These areas are safely enclosed by a fence.
Rothchild Park
Rothchild Park is an open park that is about 12 acres in size. It has a pavilion with picnic tables. This park is also a great place for dog owners. It includes a special dog park area.
