Springing the Blues is a fun music festival. It happens every year in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This festival celebrates blues music. It is one of the biggest and oldest blues festivals on the East Coast of the United States. The first festival was in 1990. It has happened every year since then. You can usually find it on the first weekend of April.

The Story of Springing the Blues
The very first Springing the Blues festival took place in 1991. In 2010, the festival celebrated its 20th birthday! That year, they added new things. There was a special exhibit at the Beaches Historical Museum. They also had a story contest. One of the best things about this festival is that it's completely free to attend!
