Springtown is a small, friendly community in northern Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It's not a city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's known as an unincorporated community, meaning it's part of a larger area called Springfield Township.
You can find Springtown where two main roads, Route 212 and Route 412, meet. A stream called Cooks Creek flows through Springtown. This creek eventually empties into the Delaware River to the east.
This community has two churches and a well-known place called the Springtown Inn. Springtown also has its own post office, which uses the ZIP code 18081. Some nearby areas use different ZIP codes, like 18036 for Coopersburg and 18055 for Hellertown. If you need to call someone in Springtown, their phone numbers usually start with the 346 exchange, which is part of Area Code 610.
History of Springtown
Springtown was founded a long time ago by a person named Abraham Funk. He bought 300 acres of land here in 1763. That's over 250 years ago!
By 1884, the community had grown to about 150 people. At that time, Springtown was located about five miles southeast of the Hellertown train station.
