History of St Cadoc's Church

Early Beginnings and Style

St Cadoc's Church was built in the 15th century. That's over 500 years ago! It was designed in a style called Perpendicular. This style is known for its tall, straight lines and big windows.

Restorations and Repairs

The church has been repaired and updated many times. The first big repair happened in 1848. Then, in 1878, a famous architect named John Prichard helped fix it up again. The church's tower also got a new look in 1905.

Recent Renovations

By 2016, parts of the church needed serious help. The main area, called the nave, was even closed off. This was because it wasn't safe for people to go inside. Luckily, the church received a large grant of £121,000. This money came from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Thanks to this help, the church has now been fully repaired. It is safe and beautiful once more!

Architecture and Design

Building Materials and Style
