St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church is a Catholic church in Portobello, a part of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is located in the Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh. The church building is found where Brighton Place and Sandford Gardens meet. St. John's RC Primary School, which is the church's school, is at 18 Duddingston Road.

History of St John's Church
The church building was finished in 1906. A famous architect named JT Walford designed it. The church's organ is very old and special. It was moved from Hawick in 1961. A company called Rushworth and Dreaper rebuilt it then.
The building is very important because of its history and design. It is known as a Category A listed building. This means it is protected by law because of its special value.
