St Mary Magdalene's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, England. It was started in 1893 and built in 1907. The church is designed in the Gothic Revival style, which looks like old churches from the Middle Ages.
The church is named after Mary Magdalene, a friend of Jesus. You can find it in the middle of Bexhill, near the train station. A famous architect named Arthur Young designed it. It's also a special building, listed as Grade II, which means it's important to history.

How the Church Started
In 1893, a Catholic community was formed in Bexhill. They had a small church and a school in the same building. This building was right next to the priest's house.
The church you see today was built between 1906 and 1907. After the new church was finished, the old building became the church hall.
Who Designed the Church?
The church was designed by Arthur Young. He became a Catholic later in his life. Arthur Young was born in 1853. He learned about architecture by working with other architects.
In 1877, he started his own architecture business. He designed many churches and chapels. Some of his other works include the Benson Memorial Church and Church of Our Lady and St Peter, Aldeburgh. He passed away in 1924 while working on a church.
Inside the Church
Inside St Mary Magdalene's Church, there is a painting of the Crucifixion of Jesus. This painting was created by an artist named August Neven du Mont. The church also has a special memorial for soldiers who died in wars, including Awdry Vaucour. In 1913, the church was officially blessed and opened for worship.
The Church Community
St Mary Magdalene's Church is the main Catholic church in Bexhill. It also helps two other Catholic churches nearby. These are Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sidley and St Martha's Church in Little Common, Bexhill.
Our Lady of the Rosary Church was built in 1954. It was designed by Alex F. Watson. St Martha's Church was built between 1939 and 1940. It was designed by Marshall Wood.
Church Services
St Mary Magdalene's Church has three Sunday Mass services. These are on Saturday evening at 6:00pm, and on Sunday at 11:00am and 6:00pm. There is also a Mass every weekday morning at 10:00am.
Our Lady of the Rosary Church has one Sunday Mass at 10:00am. St Martha's Church also has one Sunday Mass, which is at 9:00am.
