St Paul's Church, Burnthouse Lane was a church located in Exeter, Devon, England. It was a place of worship for the local community. Sadly, the church building, along with its vicarage (the priest's house) and hall, faced some serious damage. Because of this, a decision was made in 2010 to take down the old buildings. The area was then redeveloped to create new homes for people.

History of St Paul's Church

Building a Community Church

St Paul's Church was built to serve a new neighborhood called the Burnthouse Lane estate. This estate was created after the Second World War to provide homes for many families. The church was an important part of this new community.

Changes Over Time

For a while, St Paul's was its own separate church parish. A parish is like a local area that a church serves. However, in 1977, St Paul's parish joined with another nearby parish called Heavitree. Together, they formed a new, larger parish known as Heavitree with St Paul. This change helped the churches work together to support their communities.
