The Catholic Church of St Paul the Apostle is a special church in Tintagel, Cornwall, England. It was built in 1967 and officially opened in February 1968. Bishop Cyril Restieaux led the opening ceremony.
This church is part of the larger Plymouth Diocese. It belongs to the Parish of Bodmin. This parish includes churches in Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow, and Tintagel. For 45 years, from 1973 until 2018, Father Bryan Storey was the priest in charge here.

Amazing Art Inside the Church
St Paul's Church is home to some really cool artworks.
The St Paul Mosaic
A huge mosaic of St Paul is one of the main attractions. This amazing artwork has thirty thousand tiny pieces! It shows St Paul getting his eyesight back. A Swiss artist named Hanspeter Steiner created this mosaic for the church.
The Modern Last Supper Painting
Since 2008, a modern painting of "The Last Supper" has hung above the main altar. This painting was created by a local artist named Nicholas St John Rosse. What makes it special is that it uses people from the village as the apostles in the painting. This unique artwork has been talked about all over the world!
Other Beautiful Artworks
The church also has a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was carved from a local stone called serpentine stone found in Cornwall. The beautiful stained glass windows were made by the monks of Buckfast Abbey.
A Special Book of Remembrance
People visit Tintagel from all over the world to see a very special book. This book is called the Miscarriage & Infant Loss Memorial Book. It was a prayer request book that closed in 2011. The book is kept at the church. It holds the names of babies who were lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or other reasons. It's a way for families to remember their little ones.
