This means it is one of the most important historic buildings in Wales.

A Look at the Church's History

This church is very old, dating back to the medieval period. It was built using a type of stone called Old Red Sandstone. The church's tower might have been added later, possibly in the early 1800s.

What Does "Perpendicular Style" Mean?

The Perpendicular style is a type of Gothic architecture. It was popular in England from the late 1300s to the mid-1500s. This style is known for its tall, thin windows and strong vertical lines. It makes buildings look very grand and soaring.

Inside the Church

The inside of the Church of St Tysoi has many interesting features. It has a special ceiling called a barrel roof from the 1400s. Many of the church's original fittings from that time are still there.

The church also has some amazing stained glass windows. Some of these were made in the 1920s. Others were created later in the 20th century. One window, made by Geoffrey Robinson, is especially colorful. It shows scenes from the Book of Genesis.
