Early Life and Art School

Stacey Lee Webber grew up in Indianapolis. She later moved to Philadelphia, where she lives and works today. She studied art at Ball State University, earning her first art degree in 2005.

She continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. There, she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2008. Her main professor, Lisa Gralnick, even offered her a special assistant job while she was studying.

Becoming a Full-Time Artist

After finishing her studies, Stacey became an artist in residence at the Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago in 2009. This means she had a special place to work and create art there.

In 2011, Stacey moved to Philadelphia. She wanted to become a full-time artist, making art her main job. For four years, she worked as a jeweler and taught art at places like Tyler School of Art and Rowan University.

By 2015, Stacey had achieved her dream. She now creates and sells her unique jewelry and artwork. She works from her studio in northeast Philadelphia.

Amazing Art with Coins

Stacey Lee Webber is famous for her art made from old pennies. She also uses other coins in her creative work. She turns these everyday coins into incredible sculptures and jewelry.

Her art has been shown in important places. She was part of an exhibit called "40 Under 40: Craft Futures" at the Renwick Gallery. This gallery is part of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art in Washington D.C. One of her artworks was even added to the museum's permanent collection!
