Stacy Ladell Robinson was a talented American football player. He played as a wide receiver for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on February 19, 1962, and passed away on May 8, 2012.

Early Life and Beginnings

Stacy grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He lived in the Rondo neighborhood. He went to Saint Paul Central High School.

NFL Career Highlights

Stacy was chosen by the New York Giants in the 1985 NFL Draft. He was picked in the second round.

Amazing Game Against the 49ers

One of Stacy's most memorable games was in 1986. The Giants played the 49ers on Monday Night Football. The Giants were losing 17–0 at halftime. But they scored three touchdowns in the third quarter! Stacy caught one of these touchdowns. It was a 34-yard pass from Phil Simms. He also made an incredible 49-yard catch. This play set up the Giants' winning score. Stacy finished with 5 catches for 116 yards. The Giants won the game 21–17.

Winning the Super Bowl

That same season, the Giants went on to win Super Bowl XXI. They beat the Denver Broncos. Stacy caught three passes in the Super Bowl. He had 62 receiving yards, which was the most on his team. He also helped the Giants win Super Bowl XXV.

Legacy and Recognition

Stacy Robinson passed away in 2012. In 2013, the city of Saint Paul honored him. They renamed Oxford Field as Stacy L. Robinson Field. This was to remember his contributions and his efforts to improve the park.
