Staffordville, also known as Stafford, is a neighbourhood where people live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. It used to be a small village from 1900 to 1913.
Staffordville's Early Days
Staffordville started in the 1890s as a place where people dug for coal. It was named after William Stafford, who was an engineer working with coal. In 1900, Stafford became its own small village. Later, in 1913, the bigger city of Lethbridge included Stafford, making it part of the city.
Where is Staffordville?
Staffordville is located in the northern part of Lethbridge. You can find it west of Stafford Drive North and north of 9 Avenue North. Other neighbourhoods are close by. To the south, you'll find Senator Buchanan and St. Edwards. Stafford Manor is located to the north.
