Stanley's Dinosaur Round-Up is an animated movie from 2005. It was released straight to DVD. The film was directed by Jeff Buckland and made by Cartoon Pizza. It is a special feature-length movie based on the Stanley TV show from Playhouse Disney.
This movie is important because it was the last film role for the actor John Ritter. He voiced the character Great Uncle Stew. John Ritter passed away in September 2003, after recording his lines. The movie was released two years later and is dedicated to his memory.
Story of the Movie
The movie begins with Stanley, his family, and his friends. They all go on a fun trip to his great uncle's dude ranch. A dude ranch is a place where people can experience a cowboy lifestyle.
However, there's a problem! A rich land owner, called a land baron, wants to buy the ranch. He plans to turn it into a parking lot for his nearby amusement park. Great Uncle Stew needs money to save his ranch. He thinks finding more dinosaur bones will attract many new visitors.
Stanley and his friends decide to help. They join the search for dinosaur bones. They hope their discovery will bring enough customers to save the ranch.
