Stanley Blair, born on July 4, 1964, is a former professional football player. He was known as an all-star cornerback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He also won a championship called the Grey Cup.

Stanley Blair's Football Journey
Stanley Blair played football in college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. After college, he joined the Edmonton Eskimos in 1987. He quickly became a star player in the CFL.
A Rookie Sensation
In his first year, Stanley Blair won the Jackie Parker Trophy. This award is given to the best rookie player in the Western Division. He also helped his team win the Grey Cup championship in 1987. During the 75th Grey Cup game, he made a very important play. He blocked a kick, which helped his team win the big game.
All-Star Years
Stanley Blair played two more seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. In both of those years, 1988 and 1989, he was chosen as an all-star player. This means he was one of the best players in the league. Many teams from the National Football League (NFL) in the United States were interested in him.
Moving to the NFL
Stanley Blair eventually signed with the Phoenix Cardinals in the NFL. However, his time there was short. He played only five games before injuries made him stop playing football professionally.
