Nathan Abraham Lauren Fagan-Gayle, born on November 2, 1986, in South London, England, is a talented English R&B singer. He is known by his stage names Nathan and more recently Starboy Nathan. He became famous for his popular songs like "Come into My Room" and "Diamonds".

Early life
Nathan Fagan-Gayle is the son of reggae singer Lorna Gee. When Nathan was two years old, he and his mother moved to Jamaica so she could focus on her music career. As her career grew, she moved to the United States. Nathan stayed in Jamaica with his grandmother.
At the age of five, Nathan joined his mother in New York City. They lived there until he was 11 years old.
Career
First studio album: Masterpiece
In 2006, Nathan released his first song, "Come into My Room". This song was very popular and reached number 37 on the UK top 40 music chart. It was his only song released with the record label V2 Records.
His second song, "Round and Round", came out in January 2007. This song was released with a new record label, Mona Records/Vibes Corner Music. On October 9, 2006, Nathan released his first album, Masterpiece. The third song from the album was "Cold as Ice".
When Masterpiece was re-released in 2007, it reached number 122 on the UK albums chart. Before the re-release, the song "Do Without My Love" came out. It became the second most successful song from Masterpiece, reaching number 44 on the UK Singles Chart.
In January 2008, Nathan appeared on the TV show Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack. He finished in sixth place on the show.
Second studio album: 3D and name change
After his first album Masterpiece finished its promotions in 2008, Nathan started working on his second album. This album, called 3D – Determination, Dedication, Desire, was released in May 2012.
The first song from the 3D album was "Caught Me Slippin", which featured the artist Flo Rida. It was released on July 5, 2010.
In 2011, Nathan started using the name Starboy Nathan. He explained that he wanted a more unique name. His mother used to say "Starboy time" when he performed as a child. He also said that "Starboy Nathan" is easier to find online than just "Nathan". He changed his social media names to "Starboy Nathan" as well.
After performing as a supporting act for the JLS and Ndubz tours, Starboy Nathan announced that "Diamonds" would be the second song from his 3D album. This song was released on April 18, 2011. Starboy Nathan also supported The Wanted on their UK tour.
..... It reached position 92 on the UK Singles Chart. His album 3D – Dedication, Determination, Desire came out the next year.
In 2012, Nathan tried out for The X Factor TV show. He did well in the auditions and made it to the "Judges Houses" round in Dubai. However, the judge Nicole Scherzinger did not choose him for her top three male contestants.
