Stegall Branch is a small stream, about 1.30 mi (2.09 km) long, located in Union County, North Carolina. It's known as a "first-order tributary," which means it's one of the smallest streams that flows into a larger one. Stegall Branch flows into Richardson Creek. Interestingly, this is the only stream in the entire United States with the name Stegall Branch!

Stegall Branch begins its journey in a pond. This pond is found about 1 mile (1.6 km) east of a town called New Salem, North Carolina. From there, the stream flows generally towards the southeast. It travels for about 1.63 mi (2.62 km) until it reaches and joins Richardson Creek. This meeting point is about 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of New Salem.
