Stella Damasus (born April 24, 1978) is a famous Nigerian actress and singer. She has won several awards for her acting. In 2007, she won Best Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. She also won Best Actress for the movie Two Brides and a Baby in 2012 at the Golden Icons Academy Awards. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009.

Stella Damasus's Early Life
Stella Damasus was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. She grew up there and finished most of her primary school education in Benin City. She has four sisters.
Stella Damasus's Personal Life
Stella Damasus got married to her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin, in 1999. She was 21 years old at the time. They had two daughters together. Sadly, Jaiye passed away suddenly in 2004.
Stella married again in 2007 to Emeka Nzeribe. This marriage lasted for seven months before they decided to separate. Later, in 2011, she became connected with Nollywood producer and director Daniel Ademinokan. They later separated in 2020.
Stella Damasus's Acting Career
Stella Damasus began her career as a singer in Lagos. She worked as a studio singer at Klink Studios, which was owned by filmmaker Kingsley Ogoro. There, she improved her singing skills. She also sang for many popular radio and TV jingles in Nigeria.
Stella is a graduate of Theatre arts from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her first movie role was in Abused in 1992. However, she became very famous after her second movie, Breaking Point. This movie was produced by Emem Isong and directed by Francis Agu.
She has been nominated for the African Movie Academy Award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" multiple times. These nominations were for her roles in Behind Closed Doors (2006), Widow (2008), and State of the Heart (2009). Stella Damasus has starred in more than 70 movies. She is also a co-founder of I2radio. She hosts two podcast shows: Undiluted with Stella Damasus and When Women Praise.
