In the 1970s, Stemsy Hunter played on many different recordings. He played with a group called Maxayn. He even helped write a song called "Jam For Jack" for their 1972 album. This song was on Maxayn's first album.

In late 1973, Stemsy joined another group. This band was called The Fabulous Rhinestones. Other members included Kal David and Harvey Brooks.

Music in the 1980s and 1990s

In 1989, Stemsy Hunter helped produce an album. He worked with Ken Wright on the On The Rampage album for Guitar Shorty. He also produced the single from that album.

In 1993, Stemsy teamed up with his childhood friends. They formed a group called Buddy Miles and the Mighty Rhythm Tribe. They released an album called Tribe Vibe. Stemsy played the alto saxophone on the Red Hot & Blues album. This album was by Jimmy "Preacher" Ellis and came out in 1996.

Later Career and Solo Work

Since the year 2000, Stemsy Hunter has continued to make music. He performs as a solo artist. His music includes R&B, Jazz, and even some country styles. He has also worked as a performer on Norwegian Cruise Lines for several years. In 2018, Stemsy was playing in a group called Curly Martin & Friends.
