Political Career in Oklahoma
Oklahoma State Senator

One important law she supported helped people in prison for crimes that were later changed from felonies to misdemeanors. This allowed them to have their sentences reviewed more quickly.

U.S. House of Representatives
How She Was Elected
In 2019, Bice announced she would run for the U.S. House of Representatives. She wanted to represent Oklahoma's 5th congressional district. This district had been represented by a Democrat, Kendra Horn, since 2018.
Bice competed in the Republican primary election. She came in second place, so she had to compete again in a runoff election against Terry Neese. Bice won the runoff and then went on to defeat Kendra Horn in the main election in November 2020.
In 2022, Bice won her reelection race. She was elected again in 2024 after running against Democratic candidate Madison Horn.
Her Work in Congress
As a representative, Bice is part of a group of Republican members called the Freedom Force. They say their goal is to fight against socialism in the United States.
On January 6, 2021, Bice voted to object to the electoral votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania in the 2020 United States presidential election. Later that month, she signed a letter with other new Republican representatives congratulating Joe Biden on becoming president.
In May 2021, Bice was one of 35 Republicans who voted to create a special committee. This committee was formed to investigate the attack on the U.S. Capitol that happened on January 6.
