Stephen Ademolu (born November 20, 1982) is a former Canadian soccer player. He now works as a coach and trainer.

Stephen Ademolu's Soccer Journey

Stephen Ademolu played soccer for many years. He started playing when he was young. He played for different teams around the world.

Early Soccer Days

Stephen played college soccer in the United States. First, he played at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He was the top scorer there. He scored 12 goals and made 6 assists. He was also named the best male athlete in 2001.

Then, he played at Cleveland State University. In his second year, he was named "Newcomer of the Year." He was also the top scorer with 11 goals. In his third year, he led his team with 12 goals. He even scored 8 points in one game!

When he was younger, Stephen played for the Windsor FC Nationals. He scored 120 goals in the Ontario Youth Soccer League. He won "Top Goal Scorer" and "MVP" in 1996–97. He helped his team win the Ontario Cups two times in a row.

Playing in Sweden: Trelleborg

In 2005, Stephen joined Trelleborgs FF in Sweden. He scored his first goal in a big game against Malmö FF. Even though his team went down to a lower league, Stephen was named the team's best player for 2005. The next year, he scored seven goals.

Playing in Norway: Tromsø

Stephen then moved to Norway to play for Tromsø IL. He made history there! He scored a very important goal against Galatasaray in Turkey. This goal helped Tromsø get into a big European tournament. They played against famous teams like Roma.

More Time on the Field: Løv-Ham

After Tromsø, Stephen wanted to play more often. So, in 2008, he joined Løv-Ham Fotball in Norway. He played very well, scoring 12 goals and making 7 assists in 23 games.

Winning Championships in Lithuania: Ekranas

Next, Stephen moved to Lithuania. He signed with FK Ekranas in 2009. In his first year, he was named one of the top five players in the country! His team, Ekranas, won the Lithuanian League Championship in 2009.

He then helped his team win two more trophies in 2010. They won the Lithuanian League Championship again and the Lithuanian Cup. During this time, Stephen also played in the UEFA Champions League qualifying games.

Back to Canada: Windsor Stars

In 2011, Stephen came back to Canada. He played for the Windsor Stars. In 2012, he tried to play for the Atlanta Silverbacks in the United States. But he could not play any games because of problems with getting a visa.

Playing for Canada

Stephen also played for his home country, Canada.

Canada's Olympic Team

While he was in college, he was chosen to play for the Canadian Olympic team. This was for a tournament in 2004.

Canada's Senior Team

He played his first game for the main Canadian team in 2005. This was a friendly game against Luxembourg. He also played against the United States in 2006. In 2010, he played against Jamaica and later against famous teams like Argentina and Venezuela.

Stephen Ademolu as a Coach

After his playing career, Stephen became a coach. He runs his own "Ademolu Soccer Academy." He has also worked as an assistant coach for the University of Windsor's men's and women's soccer teams. He also coaches local clubs in Windsor.

Stephen Ademolu's Family Life

Stephen Ademolu has family roots in Jamaica and Nigeria. He has seven brothers and one sister. His twin brother, O'Nicholas, also played soccer at Cleveland State University. His cousin, Michael Carter, played football in the Canadian Football League.
