Raul-Stig Rästa (born 24 February 1980) is an Estonian singer and songwriter. He is well-known for representing Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. He sang the song "Goodbye to Yesterday" with singer Elina Born. Stig Rästa has also been a member of the Estonian Parliament, called the Riigikogu, since March 2025.

Stig Rästa's Music Career
Stig Rästa has been involved in music since 2002. He has played in several bands and written many songs.
Early Bands and Projects
Between 2002 and 2006, Stig was part of a band called Slobodan River. He formed this band with Ithaka Maria and Tomi Rahula.
Since 2006, he has been a member of the band Traffic. He also joined another band called Outloudz in 2010.
In 2011, Stig Rästa took part in the Estonian TV show Let's Dance. He danced with Karina Vesman and they finished in fourth place. In 2012, Stig also acted in a musical. He played the character Moritz in the Estonian version of Spring Awakening.
He is also part of an electronic music duo called Kisma. He works on this project with Vallo Kikas.
Eurovision Song Contest Journey
Stig Rästa has tried many times to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a big music competition where countries from Europe and beyond compete.
First Attempts at Eurovision
He first tried to go to Eurovision with Slobodan River in 2003 and 2004. Later, he tried with Traffic in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, and 2020. He also came in second place with Outloudz in 2011.
Representing Estonia in 2015
In 2015, Stig Rästa entered the Estonian national selection show, Eesti Laul 2015. He sang "Goodbye to Yesterday" as a duet with Elina Born. Their song won the semi-final and then the final by a lot of votes.
At the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 itself, they did very well. They made it to the Grand Final and finished in 7th place. They earned 106 points.
Writing Songs for Eurovision
Stig Rästa has also written songs for other artists who went to Eurovision.
- He helped write "Play" for Jüri Pootsmann. This song represented Estonia in 2016.
- He wrote "In or Out" for Elina Born in Eesti Laul 2017.
- He also wrote Elina Born's first Eesti Laul song, "Enough," in 2013.
- He co-wrote "Storm" for Victor Crone. This song represented Estonia in 2019. It finished 20th in the final.
Later Participations
Stig Rästa competed by himself in Eesti Laul 2018 with his song "Home." He finished in second place that year. He also took part in Eesti Laul 2022 with the song "Interstellar," finishing 9th in the final.
Stig Rästa's Personal Life
Stig Rästa is also involved in politics. He ran as a candidate for the Estonia 200 party in the 2023 Estonian parliamentary election. He did not get elected at that time. However, on March 26, 2025, he became a member of the Riigikogu. This happened because another member, Hendrik Johannes Terras, left the Riigikogu, and Stig took his place.
