Stimorol is a popular brand of chewing gum. It was first made by a Danish company called Dandy. Since 2023, it has been owned by Perfetti Van Melle, a company from Italy and the Netherlands.

The Story of Stimorol Gum

The company that created Stimorol started in 1915. A person named Holger Sørensen founded it in Vejle, Denmark. Its first name was Vejle Caramel- og Tabletfabrik. Later, it became Dansk Tyggegummifabrik A/S. This company grew to be one of the biggest chewing gum makers in the world.

The "Stimorol" gum brand first appeared in 1956. At first, you could only buy it in countries like Denmark and Sweden, which are in Scandinavia. But soon, it became popular in other parts of Europe. It arrived in the Netherlands in 1959. In 1978, the company started making gum without sugar. By the 1990s, Stimorol offered many different fruit and mint flavors.

In 2002, a big company called Cadbury-Schweppes bought most of the original company. This included famous brands like DANDY and STIMOROL. Cadbury-Schweppes then changed the name of the company to Trident. The part of the company that was not sold became known as Gumlink. The Bagger-Sørensen family, who are related to the founder Holger Sørensen, still owns Gumlink.

Since 2023, the Italian-Dutch company Perfetti van Melle has owned Stimorol. This company has its main offices in Italy and The Netherlands.
