Streamsong Resort is a special place in Bowling Green, Florida. It's a big resort with a hotel and golf courses. The resort was built by a company called The Mosaic Company on a huge piece of land, about 16,000 acres!
This land used to be a phosphate mine, where they dug up minerals from the ground. Now, it's a beautiful resort where people can play golf, relax at a spa, go fishing in lakes, and even try clay-shooting. The resort opened in 2012 and has a hotel with 228 rooms.
Amazing Golf Courses
Streamsong Resort is famous for its golf courses. There are three main courses, each with a different color name: "Red," "Blue," and "Black." Each course was designed by a very famous golf course architect.
- The Red course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.
- The Blue course was designed by Tom Doak.
- The Black course was designed by Gil Hanse.
These designers are like artists who create the layout and challenges of a golf course.
Awards and Recognition
The golf courses at Streamsong are considered some of the best. In 2012, Golfweek magazine called Streamsong the best new golf course. By 2013, the magazine said its courses were among the top 40 public courses in the whole world! The Blue course is especially well-known, ranking 87th in the U.S. and 5th in Florida.
Future Golf Course
There's even a fourth golf course coming soon! It's called "The Chain" and is also being designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. It is expected to open in 2023.
