Streetball Kosova is a really cool street basketball tournament that happens every year. It has been held since the year 2000 in a special outdoor area at the swimming pool in Germia Park, located in Pristina, Kosovo. In 2014, the tournament celebrated its 15th birthday, having taken place every single year without a break!

The Story of Streetball Kosova
How It All Started
Lots of people love Streetball Kosova! Hundreds of teams and thousands of players have joined in the fun over the years. Teams are made up of players of all ages and genders, making it a truly mixed event. Many fans come to watch the exciting games.
Expanding the Game
In 2005, Streetball Kosova held its first tournament that traveled to seven different big cities across Kosovo. This helped even more people get involved.
The tournament then went even further! In 2006, Streetball Kosova organized its first-ever event in New York City, USA. This was a big step for the tournament.
International Play
Streetball Kosova also started playing in other countries. In 2009, they joined the Prague International Streetball Cup in the Czech Republic for the first time. The next year, in 2010, a team called Akull Kosova represented Streetball Kosova at the same event and finished in an impressive third place!
New Rules and Categories
In 2012, Streetball Kosova tried something new. The tournament, held on June 9th and 10th, started using the official FIBA 3x3 rules for the first time. These rules are for a faster, more exciting version of basketball played with three players on each team.
The tournament was split into three different groups so everyone could compete fairly. These groups were:
- Senior Male (for older boys and men)
- Senior Female (for older girls and women)
- Junior's (for younger players)
A team named Kujta won the tournament in the Senior class that year.
