Suzanne Francis Hendra (born 15 August 1973) is a British writer and illustrator. She has created over 100 books for children. Many of her books were written with Paul Linnet. Some of her well-known books include Barry the Fish with Fingers. Her books Wanda and the Alien and Supertato have even been turned into TV shows!

Suzanne Hendra studied graphic design at the University of Brighton. She graduated in 1994. Today, she lives in Brighton, England. She works in a shared art studio with other artists. Suzanne has worked as an illustrator for many big publishers. These include Bloomsbury, Walker Books, Oxford University Press, and Macmillan. Suzanne also has a daughter named Wanda.
Her Early Life and Work
Suzanne worked as an illustrator for several years. Later, she changed her drawing style. This happened after she got advice from Vicki Willden-Lebrecht.
Popular Books and TV Shows
Suzanne Hendra and Paul Linnet wrote Barry the Fish with Fingers. This book was praised for being colorful and cheerful. Suzanne used gouache paint to make the bright pictures. Reviewers said the book had an "impossibly endearing little fish." The New York Times said her characters make the ocean look like a fun place.
Another book, No-Bot, the Robot With No Bottom, won an award in 2014. It received the Picture Book Award at the Oxfordshire Book Awards.
Wanda and the Alien was made into a TV show. It aired on Channel 5 in the UK. The show also appeared on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels. Wanda and the Alien was nominated for an award in 2015.
Suzanne Hendra also wrote a Supertato book with Paul Linnet. This book was called Supertato: Hap-Pea Ever After. It was written for World Book Day in 2016.
