Sueca is a city located in eastern Spain. It is part of the Valencian Community. The city sits on the left bank of the Xúquer river.
Even though the main town of Sueca is about 11 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, the municipality itself has 7 kilometers of coastline. A mountain range called the Serra de Cullera separates the town from the sea.
History and Architecture
Sueca has a rich history. Some of its buildings show signs of Moorish influence. You can see flat roofs and special viewing towers called miradors. There are also unique horseshoe arches. The area still uses an irrigation system that was first built during Moorish times. This system helps farmers water their crops.

The main industry in Sueca is processing rice. It is a very important crop for the area. Farmers also grow and export many delicious oranges.
