The Story of Sugartree's Name
Sugartree got its name from something sweet! There used to be a group of sugar maple trees very close to where the community first started. These trees are famous for their sap, which is used to make maple syrup.
A post office was opened in Sugartree in 1884. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1905.
