Starting Out at Gamba Osaka
Suguru Hino began his football journey in his hometown of Suita. He joined the youth team of Gamba Osaka, a big club in Japan's top league, the J1 League. In 2001, he officially became a professional player for Gamba Osaka. For his first few years, he didn't play in many matches. This is common for young goalkeepers, as they learn from more experienced players.
In 2004, Suguru Hino got his first chance to play in a cup match. The next year, in 2005, he played in a few more games. This was a very exciting year for Gamba Osaka, as they won the J1 League championship! Even though he was part of the winning team, it was still tough for him to get regular playing time.
Moving to FC Gifu and Becoming a Regular
In October 2006, Suguru Hino decided to move to FC Gifu. This club was in a lower division called the Regional Leagues at the time. Moving to a new team often gives players more chances to play.
FC Gifu was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2007. This was a step up for the club. Suguru Hino became the main goalkeeper for FC Gifu that year. He played in all 34 matches, showing his skill and dedication. FC Gifu finished third and was promoted again, this time to the J2 League for the 2008 season. He continued to be the regular goalkeeper in J2.
Playing for Tokushima Vortis and Nara Club
In 2009, Suguru Hino moved to another J2 League club, Tokushima Vortis. In his first year there, he didn't play much. However, in 2010, he played in 15 matches for the team.
After two seasons with Tokushima Vortis, he moved to Nara Club in 2011. Nara Club was in the Regional Leagues. He became the regular goalkeeper for Nara Club and played consistently for two seasons until 2012.
Later Career with Banditonce Kakogawa and Takasago Mineiro FC
