Sukullu is a tall mountain in the Andes mountain range in Peru. It stands about 5,095 meters (16,716 feet) high. This mountain is part of the Chunta mountain range.
The name Sukullu comes from the Aymara language. In Aymara, it refers to a special traditional ceremony. This ceremony is held for baby boys in the main town square. It celebrates all the boys born in the same year. The Spanish spelling of the name is Sucullo.
Where is Sukullu Located?
Sukullu is found in the Huancavelica Region of Peru. Specifically, it is in the Castrovirreyna Province. The mountain sits right on the border between two districts: Aurahuá and Castrovirreyna.
