A Look Back at Sunnyside's History
Sunnyside used to be an important spot for sending out cotton. It was located along the Southern Railway tracks. Trains would carry cotton from here to other places.
In the year 1900, about 250 people lived in Sunnyside. This shows it was a busy little community back then.
Sunnyside's Post Office
Sunnyside even had its own post office for many years. The post office was open from 1882 until 1917. This means people could send and receive mail right in their community.
