History of Sunnyvale Station
Sunnyvale station first opened its doors to passengers on 28 February 1924. For many years, it has been a key part of the local community, helping people get to work, school, and other places.
Upgrades and Improvements
To make the station better for passengers, Sunnyvale station was closed for upgrades during the summer of 2006 and 2007. During this time, the station platforms were made longer. This change allowed longer trains with up to six cars to stop there. Longer trains can carry more passengers, which is helpful for busy routes.
