Susie J. Wee was born in Batavia, New York. She loved learning about how electricity works. She studied electrical engineering at a famous school called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She earned three degrees there: a bachelor's, a master's, and a Ph.D. Her studies finished in 1996.
Her Career Journey
After finishing her studies, Susie Wee joined Hewlett-Packard in 1996. She worked there for 15 years as a researcher. She even became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for their Client Cloud Services. A CTO is a top leader who guides a company's technology plans.
In April 2011, Susie Wee moved to Cisco Systems. She became the Vice President and Chief Technology and Experience Officer (CTEO) for Collaboration. This means she helped make sure Cisco's tools for working together were the best. In 2014, she started Cisco DevNet. This is a special online community for computer programmers who work with Cisco's technology. By 2018, she became the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Cisco DevNet.
