Susie J. Wee is an American expert in technology. She has held important leadership roles at big tech companies. In 2011, she became a Vice President at Cisco Systems. She was also their Chief Technology and Experience Officer for collaboration tools.

Later, in 2018, she became a Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Cisco DevNet. She actually started DevNet in 2014. Susie Wee is also part of the WITI Hall of Fame. This honor celebrates women who have made a big difference in technology.

Her Journey in Tech

Susie J. Wee was born in Batavia, New York. She studied electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She earned three degrees there, including her Ph.D. in 1996.

After finishing her studies, Wee started working at Hewlett-Packard in 1996. She was a researcher there for 15 years. She even became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for their cloud services. A CTO is a top leader who guides a company's technology plans.

In 2011, she moved to Cisco Systems. At Cisco, she helped lead how people work together using technology. She also created Cisco DevNet in 2014. DevNet is a special online place for computer programmers. It helps them learn and build new things using Cisco's technology.
