Svetlana Ivanova was born in Moscow, which is the capital city of Russia. She grew up in a family where both her parents worked as power engineers.
Learning to Act
Svetlana loved acting and decided to study it. In 2006, she graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. This is a very famous film school in Russia. She learned her acting skills in the class taught by Igor Yasulovich.

Svetlana Ivanova started her acting journey in 2003. Her first major movie role was as Olya in the 2005 film The 9th Company. This movie was directed by the famous Fyodor Bondarchuk.

After The 9th Company, Svetlana played the main female character, Polina, in the film Franz + Polina (2006). This movie was directed by Mikhail Segal.
