Muhammad Syahmi bin Safari, born on February 5, 1998, is a talented Malaysian professional footballer. He plays as a full-back, which is a defender on the side of the field. Syahmi currently plays for Johor Darul Ta'zim, a top club in the Malaysia Super League. He also represents his country, Malaysia, on the national football team.

Syahmi's Football Journey
Starting Young
Syahmi grew up in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. He started playing football at a young age. He joined the Bukit Jalil Sports School and later Harimau Muda C. By age 17, he was part of the youth team for Selangor.
Playing for Selangor
Syahmi was a very important player for Selangor's youth teams. He played 46 games and scored two goals. In December 2016, the coach of Selangor, P. Maniam, decided to move Syahmi to the main team.
Syahmi played his first game for Selangor's main team in 2017. They won 2-0 against Penang in a Super League match. On February 4, 2017, Syahmi scored his first goal for Selangor. This was against PKNS FC, though Selangor lost that game 5-3.
Moving to Johor Darul Ta'zim
On January 13, 2022, Syahmi made a big move in his career. He signed with Johor Darul Ta'zim, who were the champions of the league. He was given the number 91 jersey at his new club.
Playing for His Country
Youth National Teams
Syahmi has played for Malaysia's national teams since he was young. In August 2016, he was chosen to play for the Malaysia U-21 team. This was for the Under-21 AFF Championship. He also played for the Malaysia U23 team in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur.
Senior National Team
Syahmi joined the senior national team in 2018. On December 5, 2018, he scored his first goal for the senior team. This important goal was against Thailand in the 2018 AFF Championship. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
In December 2021, Syahmi was called up again for the 2020 AFF Championship. He played as a left-back in that tournament. He also represented Malaysia in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which is a big competition for Asian teams.
