Syamsir Alam's Football Journey
Syamsir Alam started playing football at a young age. He trained with youth teams like Peñarol, Heerenveen, and Vitesse Arnhem. These experiences helped him develop his skills.
Playing for Different Clubs
After his youth training, Syamsir joined Visé. He later moved to D.C. United for a short time. This was a "loan" move, which means he played for D.C. United temporarily while still belonging to his original club.
In 2014, Syamsir returned to Indonesia. He signed with Sriwijaya FC. The next year, in December 2014, he joined Pelita Bandung Raya.
A Break and a Comeback
Syamsir Alam decided to take a break from football when he was 23. After playing for Persiba Balikpapan, he stopped playing professionally. During this time, he worked as a TV show host.
However, he still loved football and wanted to play again. Two important people helped him make his comeback: Raffi Ahmad and Hamka Hamzah. They encouraged him to return to the sport.
In early 2021, Syamsir Alam officially returned to football. On April 23, 2021, he signed a contract with RANS Cilegon, a club in Indonesia's Liga 2.
