Sycamore Creek is a small stream located in Santa Clara County, California, in the United States. It's known as a perennial stream, which means it flows with water all year round, even during dry seasons.
The creek starts high up on the eastern hillsides, close to a spot called Twin Peaks. From there, it flows towards the southwest. Eventually, Sycamore Creek joins another stream called Uvas Creek.
What's in a Name?
Sycamore Creek got its name because of the many sycamore trees that grow along its banks. These trees are common in California and have distinctive peeling bark and large leaves.
There's also a place called Sycamore Creek Vineyards in the Uvas Valley. This vineyard is located very close to where Sycamore Creek and Uvas Creek meet.
