Sónia Araújo is a famous TV host from Portugal. She was born on November 24, 1970, in Porto. Many people know her from her work on the Portuguese TV show Praça da Alegria. She also showed her dancing skills in the Eurovision Dance Contest in 2007, where she finished in fifth place.

Sónia's TV Journey
Sónia's career in television started in 1993. Her very first appearance was on a magic show called Isto é Magia, which means This is Magic. She worked alongside the magician Luis de Matos.
Becoming a Well-Known Host
After her first show, Sónia appeared in several other TV programs. Some of these included 1,2,3, Chuva de Estrelas, and Avós e Netos. She became very well-known in Portugal in 1996. This was when she started co-hosting the popular show Praça da Alegria. She has continued to host this show for many years, even up to today!
Dancing on the World Stage
In 2007, Sónia took a short break from Praça da Alegria. She joined the Eurovision Dance Contest, representing Portugal. She performed very well and earned fifth place in the competition.
More Than Just a TV Host
A year after her dance contest appearance, Sónia achieved another goal. She graduated with a degree in law from the Lusíada University of Porto. She has mentioned that even if she doesn't work as a lawyer, her knowledge of law could still be very helpful in her life.
