Tabacundo is a town located in the country of Ecuador, which is in South America. It is the main town, or "seat," of the Pedro Moncayo Canton. A canton is like a county or a district in other countries. Tabacundo is also part of the Pichincha Province, which is one of Ecuador's larger regions.
Where is Tabacundo?
Tabacundo is found in a beautiful area, nestled on the southeastern side of the Mojanda Volcano. It's located northeast of Quito, which is the capital city of Ecuador. If you travel west from the city of Cayambe, you will also reach Tabacundo. Its location near a volcano means the land around it is often very fertile.

According to a count done in 2022, about 13,019 people live in Tabacundo. People from Tabacundo are called Tabacundeño (for a male) or Tabacundeña (for a female).
