Tadamichi Machida was born in Honjo, Japan, on May 23, 1981. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career in 2000. He joined Kashiwa Reysol, a team in Japan's top football league, the J1 League.
Early Career and Debut
Machida made his first professional appearance on September 22, 2001. He played as a forward against Vissel Kobe. He played in several matches during late 2001. However, he didn't get to play as much in 2002.
Moving to New Teams
In 2003, Machida moved to another team called Kyoto Purple Sanga. He played in many games during the first half of that year. But later in 2003, he didn't play as often.
The next year, 2004, he joined Kawasaki Frontale. This team was in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football league. He often came into games as a substitute forward in the first part of the season. Like before, his playing time decreased later in the year.
Final Season and Retirement
In 2005, Tadamichi Machida moved to Tokyo Verdy. He played in many matches as a substitute during the second half of that season. At the end of the 2005 season, he decided to retire from professional football.
