Tadao Kobayashi (小林 忠生, Kobayashi Tadao, born 7 July 1930) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward. He was also a member of the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
After finishing his studies at Keio University, Tadao Kobayashi joined a football team called Keio BRB. This team was made up of players who had studied at Keio University. With Keio BRB, Kobayashi helped his team win the Emperor's Cup twice. They won this important tournament in 1954 and again in 1956.
Playing for Japan
In June 1956, Tadao Kobayashi was chosen to play for the Japan national football team. This was for the qualification games for the 1956 Summer Olympics. On June 3, he played his first game for Japan against South Korea. Later that year, in November, he traveled to Melbourne to play in the 1956 Summer Olympics.
