Takayoshi Toda (戸田 賢良, Toda Takayoshi, born December 8, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He was born in Miyakonojo, Japan. Toda played as both a defender and a forward during his career. His older brother, Mitsuhiro Toda, was also a football player.

Starting His Career
After finishing high school, Toda went to the University of Teacher Education Fukuoka. He continued to play football there. This helped him get ready for a professional career.
In 2002, after university, Toda joined a professional team. This team was called Shonan Bellmare. They played in the J2 League, which is a major football league in Japan.
Playing for Shonan Bellmare
When he first joined Shonan Bellmare, Toda played as a forward. His main job was to score goals for his team. He played in many games during his first few years with the club.
In 2005, Toda changed his playing position. He started playing as a center back. This meant his new role was to defend his team's goal. He played many matches in this new position. He stayed with Shonan Bellmare until the end of the 2006 season.
Moving to Gainare Tottori
