Takehito Suzuki (鈴木 健仁, Suzuki Takehito, born June 11, 1971) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender. Today, he works as the General Manager at JEF United Chiba.

Suzuki's Football Journey

Takehito Suzuki was born in Machida, Tokyo, Japan, on June 11, 1971. After finishing high school, he joined a football club called Nissan Motors in 1990. This club later became known as Yokohama Marinos.

Starting His Professional Career

Suzuki first played for the reserve team. By 1992, he joined the main team. He made his official debut in 1993. In 1994, he started playing in many matches. He was often a right side back or a right side midfielder.

Winning the J1 League

In 1995, his team, Yokohama Marinos, won the J1 League championship. This was a big achievement for the club and for Suzuki.

Moving to New Teams

After 1998, Suzuki didn't get to play as much. So, in October 1998, he moved to Kyoto Purple Sanga. He played regularly for them until 1999.

In 2000, he joined Gamba Osaka. Then, in 2001, he moved to Vissel Kobe, where he played in many games.

Final Years in Football

By 2002, Suzuki again found fewer chances to play. In June 2002, he moved to Vegalta Sendai. This team had just been promoted to the J1 League. He played for Vegalta Sendai until the end of the 2003 season. After that, he retired from playing professional football.
