Takuya Jinno (神野 卓哉, Jinno Takuya, born June 1, 1970) is a well-known Japanese football manager and a former player. He played as a forward, scoring many goals for different teams throughout his career. After he stopped playing, he became a coach, helping various football clubs. He was most recently the manager of J3 League club Iwate Grulla Morioka.

Playing Career: Club Journey

Takuya Jinno started his football journey in Soka, Saitama, Japan, where he was born on June 1, 1970. After playing for Shutoku High School, he joined a big club called Nissan Motors in 1989. This team was part of the Japan Soccer League, which was Japan's top football league at the time.

When Japan started its first-ever professional league, the J1 League, in 1993, Nissan Motors changed its name to Yokohama Marinos. Takuya continued to play for them, showing his skills as a forward.

In 1996, he moved to Vissel Kobe. He helped this team achieve a big goal: they were promoted to the J1 League! This was a great success for the club.

In 1999, Takuya joined Oita Trinita in the J2 League. He had an amazing season there, scoring the most goals in the league that year. He then played for FC Tokyo in 2000. He briefly returned to Oita Trinita in 2001 before finishing his playing career at Yokohama FC in 2003.

Playing Career: National Team

Takuya Jinno was a part of the Japan national team that won the 1992 Asian Cup. This was a big achievement for Japan. Even though he was part of the winning squad, he did not play in any official matches for the national team.

Coaching Career

After retiring as a player in 2003, Takuya Jinno stayed with Yokohama FC. He worked in the club's development area, helping young players improve their skills until 2009.

Later, he worked for other football clubs, including Gainare Tottori (2011), Avispa Fukuoka (2012–2014), and AC Nagano Parceiro (2015–2016). In June 2017, he became the manager of L.League club NHK Spring Yokohama FC Seagulls, which is a women's football team.

Iwate Grulla Morioka

In May 2024, Takuya Jinno became the manager of J3 League club Iwate Grulla Morioka. He took over after the previous manager left. However, he faced a tough challenge. The team was struggling, and he was unable to improve their position in the league. After losing 8 out of 11 league games, and with the team at the bottom of the table, Jinno was dismissed from his role in September 2024.
