Tallis Obed Moses (born 24 October 1954) is a Vanuatuan politician and pastor. He served as the president of Vanuatu from 2017 to 2022.

Early Life and Education
Tallis Obed Moses was born on October 24, 1954. His hometown is Port Vato, located in West Ambrym, Vanuatu. He started his primary school education in 1964 and finished in 1967.
After school, he worked as a teacher in different schools. He then decided to study religion. In 1978, he attended the Tangoa Presbyterian Bible Institute in South Santo.
Higher Education and Training
Moses continued his studies in Australia. From 1980 to 1981, he went to the Sydney Missionary and Bible College. There, he earned a Diploma in Divinity and Mission.
He returned to Vanuatu to study at the Talua Ministry Training Centre. He was there from 1985 to 1986 and received a Diploma in Theology. In 1989, he went back to Australia. He studied at the Alan Walker College of Evangelism and earned a Certificate of Merit.
Religious Career
Tallis Obed Moses served as a pastor in several places. These included Erromango, Ranon in North Ambrym, Luganville, and Bamefau.
His religious training helped him become a leader in the church. He was elected as the moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu. He held this important position twice, first in 2009 and again in 2013.
Becoming President of Vanuatu
On July 6, 2017, Tallis Obed Moses was elected as the new president. He took over from President Baldwin Lonsdale, who had passed away while in office.
The Election Process
The election involved 16 candidates. The Electoral College, which is a group of people who vote for the president, held four rounds of voting. In the end, Tallis Obed Moses received 40 votes out of 57. This made him the winner.
He was sworn in as president immediately after the election. He served his term until July 6, 2022.
