Tamannaah Bhatia (born December 21, 1989) is an Indian actress who is famous for her work in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi movies. She has acted in over 89 films and is known as one of the highest-paid actresses in South Indian cinema.

Bhatia started her acting career in 2005. She quickly became a star in Telugu and Tamil films. Some of her most famous movies include the Baahubali series, F2: Fun and Frustration, and Jailer. She has won many awards for her performances, including the Kalaimamani Award from the government of Tamil Nadu. Besides movies, she has also starred in popular web series like Jee Karda and Aakhri Sach.

Early Life and First Steps in Acting

Tamannaah Bhatia was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, to Santosh and Rajni Bhatia. She has an older brother named Anand. Her family is of Sindhi Hindu origin.

She became interested in acting at a very young age. When she was just 13, she started taking acting lessons. She joined the famous Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai for a year to improve her skills. At the start of her career, she changed her name from "Tamanna" to "Tamannaah" because she believed it would bring her good luck.

Tamannaah first appeared on screen in a 2005 music video. That same year, she made her movie debut in the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. She then began acting in South Indian films, starting with the Telugu movie Sree (2005) and the Tamil movie Kedi (2006).

Her career took off in 2007 with two successful films, Happy Days in Telugu and Kalloori in Tamil. In both movies, she played a college student, and audiences loved her performances. These hits made her a leading actress in both Tamil and Telugu cinema.

Over the next few years, she starred in many successful films. These included the Tamil action movie Ayan (2009) and the romantic road trip movie Paiyaa (2010). In 2011, her role in the Telugu film 100% Love was a huge success, earning her awards for Best Actress. She continued to star in popular movies like Racha (2012) and Tadakha (2013).

Starting in 2020, Tamannaah began working on television series and web shows in addition to her film roles. In 2021, she starred in the web series 11th Hour and November Story. She also hosted the cooking show MasterChef India – Telugu.

In 2022, she appeared in the hit comedy F3: Fun and Frustration and the movie Babli Bouncer, where she played a female bouncer. The following year, 2023, was very busy for her. She starred in the popular Amazon Prime series Jee Karda and the Netflix film ... Stories 2. She also had an important role in the blockbuster Tamil film Jailer.
